BIO
Je m'appelle Angelika Welz Bowen. Originaire de Montréal, j’ai grandi dans une culture riche en art. Mon exposition aux arts visuels et aux arts de la scène m’a naturellement poussée à créer mes propres œuvres, dans l’espoir de susciter les mêmes émotions que celles que je ressentais en tant que spectatrice. J’ai pris un immense plaisir à explorer chaque technique que j’ai rencontrée, et j’ai tiré de précieuses leçons de chacune de mes expérimentations. Récemment, j’ai traversé une grande perte, et j’ai découvert une technique parfaite pour canaliser les émotions intenses qui m’habitent depuis. Je suis entièrement autodidacte, j’ai appris par essais et erreurs. Mon plus grand souhait est que mon art offre aussi à celles et ceux qui le regardent un espace pour exprimer leurs luttes intérieures.

My name is Angelika Welz Bowen. Originally from Montreal, I was immersed in a culture that was rich in art. Because of my exposure to both visual and performing arts, I was drawn to creating my own works that would evoke similar emotions to what I felt while experiencing the arts. I have wholeheartedly enjoyed employing every technique I have come across and have loved the lessons learned by trying them. Recently I have suffered a great loss and I have now found a perfect technique to use as an outlet for the intense emotions that have surrounded me. I am completely self taught through trial and error. My greatest hope is that my art also gives its viewers a similar outlet to channel their inner struggles.
