LE REGRETTÉ CRITIQUE D'ART CHILIEN, VICTOR CARVACHO : Membre de l’association des critiques d’art internationaux, Victor Carvacho a écrit ceci à mon sujet et je cite : « Le cas de cette peintre représente un pouvoir énorme du retour à la figuration. Ici, il n’y a pas de doute, elle fait partie du mouvement artistique « La nouvelle figuration ». Ce n’est pas un retour à la peinture archaïque, sinon la continuité qui s’exprime dans la récupération de l’unité de la beauté naturelle, avec la beauté artistique. Unique à elle, Lucie s’approprie à sa façon les mouvements d’expression développés par la vision de l’artiste contemporaine : cubisme, expressionnisme, abstraction géométrique et surréalisme.
La nouvelle figuration, l’art de Lucie Gonella, est une création d’intégration expressive et formelle, dominée par la beauté idéalisée, par le désir d’une expression dynamique et par la dualité du jeu figuration-abstraction. La maturité de la peintre, du point de vue technique est esthétique, définit une artiste capable d’utiliser n’importe quelles techniques telles que : l’acrylique, L’huile, l’aquarelle, et les différents médiums incluant les collages, l’encre de Chine et les autres combinaisons originales. Ses œuvres représentent le profil d’une personnalité picturale capable de créer sainement, vigoureusement, librement et exemplairement pour sauver la poésie de l’image. »

NOUVEAU DÉFI:
Après avoir vécu et travaillé au Chili pendant cinq ans, je suis rentrée au Québec en 1995, riche d'une expérience et d'un élan qui m'ont permis de poursuivre ma carrière artistique avec succès. J'ai présenté de nouvelles œuvres à Québec, à Toronto et aux États-Unis.

// LE COLLAGE, LE DESSIN, L'ACRYLIQUE ET LA SPATULE :
Son parcours créatif l'a amenée à expérimenter l'acrylique et la spatule, la permettant de jouer avec les formes géométriques et les couleurs d'une manière rapide et intuitive, ou, à l'inverse, de manière plus organisée et analytique. Elle a également continué d'explorer le collage et d’autres combinaisons uniques et audacieuses tout en abordant une variété de thèmes, mettant principalement en scène la figure humaine dans des compositions éclatantes et colorées.

// LA FIGURE HUMAINE:
La figure humaine prédomine dans le choix de mes thématiques où mes personnages sont représentés dans diverses positions à diverses fonctions. Ils sont en réflexion, en méditation, entrain de jouer d’un instrument, entrain de danser ou autres. Ils traduisent mes intentions, mes goûts, mes émotions ou autres en se perdant dans des fonds très colorés et abstraits.

L'ART NUMÉRIQUE: Toujours avide de renouvellement, j'ai commencé à m'initier à l'art numérique en 2013, plongeant ainsi dans un monde d'innovation et d'expérimentation. C'est avec un enthousiasme et une passion débordante que je continue cette aventure artistique commencée il y a plus de 50 ans. À travers mon art, je partage une histoire émotionnelle profonde, reflétant mon vécu et ma vision du monde, tout en laissant derrière moi un héritage artistique riche et inspirant.
Elle a présenté de nouvelles œuvres à Québec, Toronto, aux États-Unis et en Europe. J'expose actuellement à Venise et à Rome pour septembre 2025, en physique, expositions collectives. En virtuel: Suisse, Zurich
